I am very satisfied with today's scheduled service of the furnace by Aaryn Raynad. She was on time, tested the furnace and found no issue requiring attention.

I just had Aaryn R. come and service my furnace which I had installed by Border Plumbing in October of 2022. They also installed a new hot water tank at that time. I have been a customer of Border Plumbing for many years now and have always found them to be professional, kind and not bothered when I have had questions. I have had Aaryn R. come to my home before, and many others over the years to do the maintenance servicing and I know should I ever have a plumbing/heating problem I know that they are quick to respond and assist. Aaryn R. was professional and courteous and I look forward to perhaps having her provide services required at my home again. Thank you for the good work that you do!

Upon noticing, our furnace was not working correctly I went down to inspect it Visually and noticed it had a border plumbing and heating sticker on it as they were the last company to do maintenance on it. We called the phone number and got a detailed explanation of how to potentially troubleshoot our self. We told the technician on the phone were unable to get it working. Within one hour, we were called and said somebody was on the way the technician repaired what was needed also answered my questions about my installation of the air filter I asked about maintenance routine and after receiving my invoice, I also received a detailed breakdown of the maintenance routines. They offer very happy with everything. We are going to sign up for the Gold level maintenance service to cover all items in our home
Border has been consistently excellent in terms of professionalism and workmanship. Whenever anyone says they need work done on their plumbing/heating I always recommend Border.
Our Bryant furnace was still going strong after 22 years, but we chose to get it replaced, to be on the safe side. Border plumbing has been my go to team, this time again, for this second install. Dayton and Warren arrived on time. Two and a half hours later, the replacement was completed. The whole process was seamless. I trust that we will enjoy many more years of comfort in our house!
Justin's knowledge and skill are clearly evident in the methodical approach to the service task. His communication skills are exceptional and many technical details were provided over the course of the site visit.

Twas the day before Christmas when all through the house not a creature was stirring except a kitchen faucet that wouldnt stop going. Valves were dutifully twisted and turned, in hope that the water soon would stop flowing. Off went the shutoff valve for the house and towels were nestled all snug on the countertop in hopes that a plumber soon would appear. To the phone we dashed, in search of said plumbers! We called Border Plumbing and what to our wondering eyes did appear, Robbie and Owen (but alas no eight tiny reindeer). They spoke a few words and went straight to their work. They knew in an instant the tap had gone berserk. With water restored, off to find a new faucet we went. We went to Home Depot and what did we find, but the very faucet we needed and on sale, oh how fine! With an appointment for install booked in 2 days, we whistled and shouted, and in spite of all chaos you could hear us exclaim, Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
I had concerns about my heating going into the holidays so I scheduled a checkup withe Border Plumbing, Heating & Electrical. The technician Rob Halford was extremely professional and helpful. He not only resolved my concern but went over and above performing some maintenance and explaining to me how to better use my system. I'm very grateful!

Dayton and Ryan replaced our furnace recently. They were on time and professional and our new furnace was installed with a minimum of fuss. We have been clients if Border Plumbing and Heating for a number of years and have always been pleased with their service and pricing.

We had a fantastic experience. The day our A/C unit quit Border plumbing, heating & electrical was very quick to come and service it for us. Jeff was very knowledgeable and got us temporarily up and running until our new unit could arrive. He helped us pick the right new unit for our needs. The new unit came in within a couple days and Dayton and his team had it installed and finished 2 hours earlier than the projected time frame. All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend their company to anyone.

A shout out to Mike from Border Plumbing and Heating! Our air conditioner went off (it's +38c) this afternoon. I called Border on Friday afternoon about 5pm. Mike was very patient and walked us through some suggestions, and he helped up get the AC back up and running! Excellent service and we would highly recommend! What a wonderful experience I had. I had to replace furnace, hot water tank and I wanted to add air conditioning. I obtained a few quotes with reputable and pleasant firms Jeff from Border provided a couple of options. All the quotes were fairly close in dollar value but a bit different in warranty and future annual service. Two days after I got my quotes together to make a decision I was contacted by Mike from Border telling me there was a possible rebate he sent the information. None of the other firms said anything about rebates. So I decided to hire Border whether I got the rebate or not. Immediately I was contacted by Jeff to again do option as there was a heat pump unit that would provide efficient, effective cooling with great economy. We decided on a date, the trucks arrived on time, the guys were respectful of my property and the project was explained to me the start then the second day they explained the final steps went thru the new thermostat use and hot water settings. It was truly as good of experience as I could hope for. I highly recommend contacting them. In addition their electrician fixed two receptacles in my kitchen. What a team!

Matt called to let me know that Jason could get to my job ahead of the agreed time frame if that would work for me. I said sure and Jason was there within a few minutes and ready to go. They followed all the Covid Protocols and asked that I follow them as well. This I did gladly and Jason did a great job of investigating the job for unexpected problems; helped me select the most appropriate equipment and completed the job in a timely fashion. He then thoroughly tested the work while explaining to me all the different aspects of it's operation before thanking me - well, it was a mutual thank you. It was nice to know that some of the usual fittings and connectors were upgraded to superior, longer lasting parts. What an excellent experience. Chris called and we set up an appointment for the next week, I mentioned which days were best. He called back a few hours later saying he had a couple of guys in the area and they were available and he remembered that I said I was off today. James and Mitch showed up within a few minutes. Both were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The problem was diagnosed in a matter of minutes and they provided me with multiple options to fix the issue. On Friday January 19, 2024, we received another excellent service call from Border Plumbing. Having been a customer for many years, we have become accustomed to a certain level of service and they did not disappoint. The tub/shower valve in one bathroom was defective. We contacted Chris who arranged for a service call the following day. The technician originally assigned for the work was unable to come so Chris informed us immediately and arranged for another plumber to make the repair. Tyson, accompanied by Jayden travelled in a snowstorm from Lake Country to Lower Mission. That's called dedication to clients in our opinion. The repair was done quickly and efficiently in spite of a problem with the ceramic tile that obstructed access to the valve. Tyson found a way to solve that problem. We believe Jayden is learning from a real professional. We are most grateful for their help. Thanks again Border for excellent service.

Our hot water tank went a couple days ago and we called Border even tho we had no idea who installed it. Mike showed up at our house a couple hours later and arranged our warranty thru Rheem and tank pick up at supplier. Border installers arrived at Home Depot to pick up tank the next day, came over to install it and had it turned on and everything cleaned up by 2pm. We had hot water by 3pm that day. City of Kelowna inspector showed up today to attach the city permit and also commended their clean work on the soldering. I basically had to do nothing other than go pick out the tank at Home Depot. Mike from Border guided me thru every step and even gave me the link this morning for my Fortis Rebate application. I can't say enough how good Border was. Another shout out to installers Dayton & Warren. Very professional, friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be keeping Border # handy for future!

I had issues with my system and thermostat not working properly. Technician Jeff was able to figure out the issue even though it wasn't easily diagnosed. When replacement thermostat was installed Jeff was great once again. Made sure everything with the system was working properly and made suggestions on having the system run more efficiently etc. Jeff made sure system was connected, offered helpful suggestions and explained everything fully before he left even though he had a full and busy schedule. Not sure how you improve on perfection, but we did observe it this week during our annual furnace tune up and service call with Jeff C. This guy should be teaching this stuff!! Jeff pointed out a couple of operational tricks that made complete sense, and we immediately employed. The consistency of temperature between upstairs and downstairs was noticeable that very day. Also, Jeff took measurements for items that previously had only been visually graded. This enabled us to clearly determine the affect of aging on a couple of integral components, during the in-depth review he had with us afterwards. Our boiler manifold recently sprung a leak int he middle of the night in our mechanical room. Luckily my husband heard the pipe hissing when he was just about to walk out the door for work. Called Border and left a voicemail got a text right away, set up a time for a tech to come out. showed up suggested what to do and other options for being more budget conscious. i ended up replacing the full manifold instead of patching for peace of mind! My furnace broke early Saturday morning. I was recommended Border plumbing and heating by my neighbour. First thing on Monday morning I called the office, the response was fast. In no time, Jeff came to diagnose the problem. He was personable and did a fast diagnostic assessment. Needing a new furnace. While Jeff was still here, Denver, the comfort advisor was in the neighbourhood and came to give estimated and presented the choices. He made it easy to choose the right furnace. October 26, 2022 Border’s friendly, professional service is very much appreciated by these seniors. Jeff C. was accompanied by Aaryn R. whom he was training in furnace maintenance. We knew Aaryn from a few weeks previously when she carried out the servicing on our air conditioner very efficiently. Jeff explained the process to us thoroughly and resolved a minor issue with the humidifier as part of the service. As well, he recommended a new igniter as the current one had become corroded. They were able to install one immediately thus saving us the problem of replacing it, perhaps urgently, at a later date. Both Jeff and Arryn are very pleasant to deal with and are good communicators. From the very first phone call the service has been super friendly and knowledgeable. I called having had no hot water for two days and in desperate need of a shower and was happily surprised that the technician would be here within the hour. Unfortunately it was most cost effective to replace the hot water tank but again I was happily surprised to be told it would be installed the next morning, and although this is probably not related to the actual service, that was one of the best showers of my life. Lyle, the technician was really friendly, explained the problem and our options. We have tried different plumbing/HVAC companies in the past and usually left slightly disappointed and that did not happen with Lyle and Border. I will definitely be calling Border the next time we have an issue.

Our furnace died (on a Sunday) and I called the emergency number. I was SO happy with the prompt response from Border Plumbing and Heating. Someone was here first thing yesterday to assess the problem and this morning, Dayton Bailey and Ryan Storozak arrived bright and early and replaced our furnace. Border Plumbing was the only company willing to help us out and it was the start of the August long weekend July 30/21. Paul Leader was our plumber and was very friendly, courteous, and professional and followed the Covid-19 protocols. We had a pipe blockage and Paul had to use 80 ft of auger. My hot water tank stopped working on a Sunday afternoon with a house full of people. I called Border & explained that my husband has terminal cancer & it is imperative that I have hot water. Within a few hours they sent out Tyson. He got it running but as life would happen, it didn’t last. I called them again that evening & they sent out Chris & Tyson the very next afternoon & installed my new hot water tank. I can’t say enough of how much this was appreciated. Paul was excellent. He's friendly, very knowledgeable. He came to work on a plumbing project, first planned by another plumber at Border, and he was able to quickly figure out the scope, parts required, made a couple of improvements to the design and completed it within the timeframe allotted. We've now used Border plumbers, A/C technicians, furnace installers and technicians and electricians. My friends had an unusual odour in their bathrooms and called Border on a Friday morning. Border was able to send someone out later that morning. As my friends were working, I met with Colin from Border Plumbing. He was very professional and thorough in investigating potential sources of the odour. Yahoo! Woke up this morning to snow and no heat 15C inside. Put in a call at approx. 7:30 a.m. spoke with Donna, she's amazing, and she put in a call to Owen. In way less than an hour Owen was smiling and at my door. Owen immediately performed diagnostics and identified the problem; furnace was not reading the thermostat. The thermostat had been dislodged and was not connecting with the furnace. Owen is a true professional, experienced and will come into your home with your best interest in mind. Yesterday , Border Heating technicians, Dayton and Ryan replaced my furnace. They were very professional and completed the installation which required new vent piping to be installed through the roof, which entailed attic access into two feet of blown in insulation. Kudos. Customer service is excellent. As we had been warned on Dec 30th, relighting the pilot light was probably not going to be a successful fix to the hot water tank. We discovered this at 4:50 pm so we called Border again and Mike was very helpful and said he would have Paul at our house in the morning. Paul came on New Year's Eve and replaced our hot water tank. He was very thorough, efficient and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with him. We appreciated the service received and how quickly things got done and while no one likes to spend money replacing a hot water tank, Border made it easier.
I called Mike at 4pm on New Year’s Eve as my hot water tank had failed and he was able to get me a quote and get a new tank install organized by Paul for 10am on New Years Day! Paul was on time, professional and quick to get us up and running again with a new tank. Not the best way to start 2021 but the Staff at Border did a great job at getting us back on track! Colin came and gave us a quote which we felt reasonable to replace all the Poly B pipes in our 4200 sq ft house. The next day he and his team (Tyler & Paul) arrived on time, were efficient and neat and in our opinion did an excellent job during the three days they were in our home. Very professional, and they did a great job in cleaning up before completing the job. We would absolutely recommend them.
I recommend Border for their knowledge and speed of application. They saved my little home. I live in my mobile and when a pipe in the bathroom 'sprung' I turned off the valve under the sink but this did not stop the water which was getting worse, my son crawled underneath to find a shut off valve to the mains but there is no such valve under my home ! Border came and could not find such valve...the water was getting much worse. My brother brought me a wet/dry cleaner and this was filling in minutes ..to be emptied and let refill for hours. Used all the towels sheets clothing etc to soak up the constant water. Border finally contacted our site agent and a neighbor helped me locate the main shut off in the front garden...at last Border shut off the water !! Wheee ! They came the next day and replaced the split piping and installed an easy to reach shut off by my hot water tank. They were cheerful and helpful throughout...I think the plumbers name was Lyle...but my hearing is dodgy, but I hope he sees this and knows that this 'mature' lady blesses him daily ! Border plumbing cannot be surpassed !!! Thank you. Cranky

We had a great experience with Border. The initial quote from Jeff was highly competitive on price and it was obvious to us that he had many years of industry experience, which gave us the peace of mind that the job would be done as discussed. Dayton and Ryan also provided us great quality service during the install. Not only was the job done exactly as expected, but by taking some extra time and care to plan out the thermostat move they saved us hours of drywall repair. After a full month we can say we are very happy with the quiet and consistent operation of the new two stage Bryant furnace, and are already seeing savings over our previous single stage unit. We look forward to using Border again for future HVAC service.

On November 18 Julius and his assistant Warren came to install our new furnace. I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up, on tine, with booties and masks in place. Our furnace room is tiny and crowded and these two men worked tirelessly for 8 hours with never a complaint. Their manner was professional but friendly, stopping anytime to answer a question for me and explain things. They even took care of a water issue while they were here working on the furnace!Their prices are competitive and our new furnace is not only much more efficient than our last one, it is so quiet! They have a number of staff and were able to rearrange some things so that we could get same day service to repair a leak. At the time of booking there were questions about COVID and I was asked if I would prefer for the worker to wear a mask. This made me happy. Colin was very friendly and professional. He explained what was broken and how to avoid this problem in the future. Efficient work. Will call again next time we need a plumber :). I can't speak to the price as we haven't needed a plumber in Kelowna or had this type of repair done in the past, but I will say this: never choose the cheapest you find because good workers deserve good pay and you get what you pay for.

They explained everything they were doing before they did it and asked if we had any questions (asked a number of times throughout the install, which I appreciated). Dayton showed us how to use the thermostat. They cleaned up all their mess and put everything back together. Luke cut and screwed plywood in the opening where the furnace was removed from. Klaus G*******, a plumber with 30 years experience (assisted by Paul, a trainee) from Border Plumbing, Heating & Electrical, did one terrific plumbing job at my home yesterday. A person can tell when a technician puts some thought into their work. I first had Klaus to my home for a short meeting so we could go over a variety of plumbing issues I wanted addressed. I asked a lot of questions, and received understandable answers. Klaus listened attentively, asked questions, and described various solutions and options which made it easy for me to decide on what alternatives to go with. By explaining what and how he could address my concerns beforehand, I knew he understood what I meant, and how he’d proceed. So I felt quite confident when the work day arrived to know that the fix to all my plumbing issues was do-able after all. What I wanted done was the water main shutoff valve and the PRV moved, a water softener system installed, and a separate water line for outdoor irrigation to be installed – so it would no longer feed off the same water pipes that supplied the household. My indoor plumbing had an existing sediment filter which had been installed at ceiling level and hung unsupported from the water pipe. In order to change the filter, I had to climb up and balance on the top of my washing machine. I wanted it moved so I could access it. Klaus described how and where it could go. So he installed new pipe lengths to accommodate the changes, installed a new sediment canister, and a carbon filter canister. No more climbing ladders for me – now both canisters rest on a steel bracket securely mounted to the cement wall within easy reach. Also at arms reach and clearly labelled, are all the valves for the new filtration system and the new irrigation line. Those kinds of details and the solid workmanship and thought that went into the design are very important to me. Klaus also installed an expansion tank for my hot water tank and installed the tanks for the new water filtration system (along with all the apparatus for these systems; hoses, pressure gauge, drain line, etc). Before leaving, he went over everything with me, explained the pressure gauges and how they worked and what their purpose was, and gave me plenty of time to ask last minute questions. Border Plumbing continues to be my go-to for plumbing and heating – their electrical department is relatively new and I haven’t used that service yet. I have been a Border Plumbing customer since 2008 when I had my new natural gas furnace and heat pump/air conditioner installed. In my opinion, they are a reputable company, stand by their work, and have treated me fairly over the years. Klaus, I'd have given you more stars, but 5 was the max :) - thanks for all your help yesterday.

We just had a new gas furnace installed by Luke and Dayton. They arrived on time and did an excellent job of installation for us. They were efficient and were happy to answer any questions I had regarding operation of the furnace. They also were careful to disinfect and wipe down surfaces they had used, including the payment machine. We were very satisfied with the service they provided for us. I used Border Plumbing last spring to look at what ended up being a thermostat issue. They were amazing to deal with so when I decided to get a new furnace they were the obvious choice. They came quickly provided different options at different price ranges and were true to their word on what it would cost. Jeff Coles was the technician who helped with deciding what furnace would work best and preparing me for the installation date. A few month later I was having issues and Jeff Coles happened to be the one who came back and noticed I wasn't using my new thermostat to the potential I could be and set it up to better suit my needs and explained everything without making me feel rushed or silly. He is always friendly, smiley, and great to deal with. If anyone ever asks who I would reccomend for furnace and heating needs I would not have to hesitate to say Border Plumbing, Heating and Electrical.

I was impressed with the work performed by Jeff on my dryer vent. My initial concern was the termination port. Jeff identified a problem with the screws in the rigid metal ducting connections which required replacement of the metal ducting. Jeff also adapted a cover for the hole in the ceiling.

Luke was assisted by Dayton. One of the things that impressed me was the time they took to answer questions and the number of times that they would pause to ask, "Is everything clear? Do you understand everything? Do you have any questions?". The quality of the work from an appearance perspective was excellent. They worked hard, efficiently. When an unexpected problem occurred, they stopped to explain and waited for our response. Very courteous. Initial assessment of problem and explanation of options was also excellent.
Dustin P***** was sent out to do my regular furnace servicing at the scheduled time. He was very professional, protecting his shoes to not bring outside dirt into my home. Before he arrived I was having some issues coming up on my thermostat saying Malfunction which he investigated right away. It turned out that it was the flame sensor. After discussion I decided to have the sensor replaced rather keep the old one that may have malfunctioned again. Work was done with little to no interruption to me. Thank you Dustin. .

Today we had Mike Crandell to our home to install a tankless water heater. He arrived on time and was most polite and very professional. On Saturday , November 11th 2019 I discovered both of my toilets gurgling. When I flushed the en-suite toilet the water came up to the top of the bowl. I knew something was terribly wrong as plunging the toilets didn’t dislodge the blockage. I also knew I could count on Border Plumbing and Heating to come to my rescue. Paul Leader arrived at 4:00 and worked tirelessly until 8:45 to unplug the blockage. He arrived on time, was so polite, professional and considerate as he laid down Immaculate drop sheets throughout my house. If all sevice technicians were as consistently well trained, polite and professional as this young man was, what wonderful service we would be receiving from the companies we count on to provide day to day to day service to our homes and appliances. I would like to thank Jeff for being prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable, He takes time to explain what he is doing and how this may or may not impact the item being serviced, for me it was an older furnace. I was explained my options to correct the motor problem. Discounts and rebates were explained, along with brand, warranties and price points. Booties were worn while in the house, filter was cleaned and put back, and the floor vacuumed after service was completed. A thorough job done well. Seemed to be blocked. This morning we enjoyed excellent service from three departments of Border Plumbing, Heating and Electrical: Kristina (first line of defence), Matt (or Mike) (on dispatch) and then Owen (in the field). All three were exceptionally friendly and helpful, not to mention incredibly speedy in their response to our failed furnace. In addition, they displayed extreme patience and understanding when we realised that it was our error, not a malfunction and their trip was unnecessary.

Danielle B. went above and beyond the call of duty once again for me. She had installed a new thermostat in July and it started to make noise. I phoned the office and they said that she should be there in about a half hour. When she got there she said that it was the transformer in my doorbell. She disconnected it and all was solved. Shawn C. had several plumbing surprises when he started the renovations to my existing bathroom. The parts that should have been there in the wall, were not there. The old counter top sink was glued onto the counter with way too much adhesive. It was a real challenge getting the old sink out. The tub fixtures I had selected didn't fit the existing tub outlet. Shawn had to do some very real creative plumbing to make it all come together and work. There were two tub parts that I forgot to select, but Shawn found two parts that matched and it is all good. I am very pleased with the finished product.Thank you Shawn. Nicky

Shawn (plumber) was knowledgeable and outlined the steps necessary to complete the project. He completed the job in an efficient, professional manner and left the work site in a tidy condition. Shawn was friendly and respectful. I appreciated the discount given as a member of Border's Energy Savings Agreement Program.

I want to thank all of those who I have dealt with at Border Plumbing and Heating. I made a request on line and had someone call me back that day. They gave me a day and time for my appointment. Shawn showed up promptly at the given time. He worked quickly, cleaned up and told me exactly what the problem was. He didn't even cringe when I asked him to look at a hair clogged, messy sink that my teenage daughter uses:) Thank you Shawn for everything you did! Next time we have a plumbing problem I will be sure to ask for you.

Tyson, was right on time, put his shoe covers, on, and got right to it. He let me know that my water tank was pretty old and that it could go anytime. He told me of the area's where the owners before us kind of makeshifted some of the work, and at some point in time I could have a leak. I was very impressed with his work and his attitude.

Shawn was our service specialist. Very pleasant, polite and efficient. He saved time by coming first to see what supplies he needed, then back again to complete the job. Aaron Short came out on an emergency call because Fortis shut off our gas to the furnace because we bought our home from someone who should have called a professional. Aaron was very thorough and friendly and even though he had to crawl under our home and remove black widow spider cobwebs, he was still smiling and very friendly throughout the entire time. He went beyond what he had to do to get our gas back on. We really appreciate all he does and for letting us know about the service contracts that were available and we signed up for. Great job AARON!
